- Do I need to know bookkeeping to use Bokfrid?
- No. Bokfrid is made for people who run their own business without being accountants. You upload your bank statement, the assistant proposes how each line should be booked and explains why in plain language. You never have to pick accounts or know debit from credit.
- Does Bokfrid work for sole traders and limited companies?
- Yes. Bokfrid is built for small Swedish limited companies (aktiebolag) and sole traders (enskild firma), with the chart of accounts, VAT, year-end close and tax filing material adapted to each. You choose the company form when you create the account and Bokfrid handles the differences.
- How does the AI assistant work?
- The assistant reads your bank statement and receipts, proposes the entries and answers your questions while you work. Nothing is booked until you have read through and confirmed. When you want a human, we bring in an accounting consultant.
- What does Bokfrid cost?
- 99 SEK per month, everything included: day-to-day bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll, VAT returns, year-end close and annual report. Join the waitlist and your first three months are free, no card is needed and there is no lock-in.
- Can I switch to Bokfrid from another bookkeeping system?
- Yes. Export a SIE file from your current system, such as Fortnox, Visma or Bokio, and import it as opening balances in Bokfrid. If you have no file, the assistant helps you set up the balances from your latest balance sheet.
- Does Bokfrid handle VAT, payroll and year-end?
- Yes. The VAT return is compiled with Skatteverket's boxes and can be filed as a file, payroll comes with payslips and employer declarations, and at year-end Bokfrid walks you step by step through the close, the annual report and the tax filing material.
- When does Bokfrid open, and how does the waitlist work?
- Bokfrid is in closed beta right now and we let new users in continuously. Leave your email on the waitlist and we will be in touch as soon as it is your turn. Everyone on the list gets their first three months free, with no card required.
- Can I send receipts to my bookkeeping by email?
- Yes. You get your own Bokfrid address to forward receipts to. The assistant reads the amount, VAT and date and matches the receipt to the right row on your bank statement. Even receipts that are only text in the email, with no attachment.
